We went to the Gorky Theater performance, it is currently under reconstruction and the production was on the stage of the Palace of Trade Unions. The architecture is impressive, there are many details that I want to consider, and I liked the performance itself.
But ... the performance began according to the poster at 19:00, we arrived in 10 minutes and the doors to the auditorium were still closed, imagine a crowd of people standing in the lobby, not to push through. And that's not all, at the end of the performance, the doors of the exit from the palace were also closed! Safety at altitude is simple, there are no words!
As for the hall, if I had known earlier that it was not convenient to sit on the tiers from above, I would have taken only the stalls, it was not so convenient for me in any theater. There were two rows on the tier, the first row was ordinary chairs (and then people had to lean on the curb and look out to see something), the second row was ottomans near the wall 😅 hard))) especially when the performance is 2h45min (albeit with one intermission).
But now I know which tickets are worth taking and which are not
I was here for a dance competition. It is easy to get there, there is a metro station nearby. The staff is polite, attentive, helpful. The hall is good. The seats are comfortable. Good visibility and audibility everywhere. I haven't been behind the scenes.
Good afternoon. I visited the landmark of the city, the performance that took place in it. Easy navigation, cozy atmosphere in the hall. The goodwill of the theater staff.
A spacious, beautiful building with several floors, which hosts various events, including performances. There is a buffet in the building. The staff is polite and cultured.
I was here on Thursday at a performance of the Gorky Theater. 2 stars for the actors of the play and the costumes. The building itself and the workers just smell like a collective farm. Everyone has a face without a smile, the toilet is just disgusting (there is no toilet paper and a stink near the entrance). The sound and acoustics of the room on the 11th row of the stalls do not allow you not to strain your ears when trying to hear the text of the actors.
The last time I was here was 15 years ago at the school graduation. And I'm happy to not come here for another 15 years.
We visit the Palace of Trade Unions for the third time, November-December, well, it's very cold in the hall, even the employees themselves offer to take a scarf with them, if there is one. Do something about the heating.
And also a huge request to somehow talk to the staff not to let people with outerwear into the hall, at least it is not ethical towards other people, and even more so towards artists, when these people get into their down jackets and leave the hall.
Wai Me - what enchantingly comfortable and upholstered chairs (as an option, seats)!
It's a pity, sho is a type 2 diabetic, otherwise he would have taken a farce chair with his calloused hands, but the endocrinologist does not recommend wearing gravity (and even a virtual and conditional Monomakh Hat ...) and promises me a long and happy life until 2036)!
Briefly about the main thing:
"Do not hesitate to come here for all sorts of different things, you will definitely not remain dejected!"...
The building is incredibly beautiful! It's like being in a museum. Everything is clean, a beautiful stage, an auditorium. I am very happy to have been there!
Advantages: decorations, costumes, the facade of the building.
Cons: Lighting design - during the songs, the light shines in bright flashes directly into the face, after the second song, the eyes no longer see anything, they are blinded. I had an idea to get up and leave. The actors open their mouths at the wrong time to the recorded audio, the main character's headdress flew off, the plot is not interesting, the ticket price does not match the quality of the presented. There is no toilet seat in the bathroom.
It periodically became very cold in the hall, as if the windows were open somewhere. People with children were sitting and eating in the back seats, and it was extremely unpleasant to hear the smell of popcorn and slurping in the theater. The staff did not react in any way.
It's a great place, but in the middle of November it's cool here, like everywhere else in Minsk. There was even a parking lot near the square. Live Belarus)
There are no questions about the stage, the light, the host, or the organization of the festival as a whole. But! It was cold, the ushers at the entrance were unfriendly, hissed at the children, then they occupied a glass recreation area near the cafe and changed clothes in it. The cafe sells bad coffee, and the bartender was very worried that their cafe would remain at a loss, because the money was converted by Sberbank of the Russian Federation. It is very expensive and unpleasant.
We went to a New Year's performance with the children. Up to 6 years old liked it, but the older ones didn't like it very much. The Christmas tree is alive, it's cool.
A couple of weeks ago, an instrumental "concert" was held on the work of my favorite band, Linkin Park. It took place in this building.
First of all, I want to note that the building is clearly being monitored. All these statues outside, heavy doors inside, and everything else looks good. Pleasant to the eye)
Secondly, there is a performance hall. It is small, there are hardly more than 200-300 seats, but WHAT comfortable chairs) For two hours, in a T-shirt, I was very pleased, I did not sit out anything and overall I got a good impression. Both from the event and the venue.
Do not hesitate to come here for all sorts of different things, you will definitely not remain dejected!
I've never seen such a New Year's performance before. Everything is set to the soundtrack, both words and music. Children are not interested. I've been waiting for the end more than ever. It was cool last year, so we bought special tickets for this year.
I love this place. This is history and my childhood. Once there were discos Belsovprof, a fun time. Whoa, whoa, whoa. And now I go with my son to New Year's performances, and with my friends to a cafe of Belarusian cuisine.
This is a masterpiece of neoclassicism!!! It's beautiful!!!! The center of Minsk, the heart of our Motherland!!!! Comments are unnecessary! And it gives weight to me that here we participated in the competition and took 1 winner!!!! Thanks!!!
21st century, the center of Minsk. The restrooms require modern renovation. It's like you're in the 90s.

We were at the children's New Year's performance "Frosty Adventures". The performance itself was based on a fairy tale by Morozko. It was interesting for the child and me to watch. It was clear that the actors loved their work and gave themselves completely to the performance. As for the auditorium, I would like to say about the chairs. They are not the most comfortable, and by modern standards they are not comfortable at all. The distance between the seats is also not much. After the performance, there was an entertainment program with round dances near the Christmas tree. Four animators, Santa Claus and the Snow Maiden set the atmosphere. Children 3-5 years old liked it very much. I would like to note that the tree was real. As for the photo zones, there were no current ones. The Christmas tree and the hall were decorated somehow in the style of the two thousandth years. There was a sale of all kinds of luminous trinkets for children. In general, the time spent was not a pity, especially when the tickets came from the union.
A classic example of Soviet Art Nouveau.
The interior is clean, the hall is nice.
There is not too much choice in the buffet, there is something to work on
Externally, it is a very beautiful building, the architecture is beautiful. But inside, the repair is not very good. I would like it to be more modern, not the old one.
I liked the palace very much. The architecture of the building, location and appearance are impressive. Beautiful hall and stage. The only thing missing is the garbage cans on the porch. I had to throw it out at the next building.
A very monumental building of the Soviet era! It looks good, although everything is very confusing inside, there are a lot of passages, stairs and other things. A building from a previous era, almost like ancient Greek temples.
It's an amazing place. Starting from external beauty to internal beauty. There are many clubs and studios inside. There is a cafe. The hall hosts performances, performances, and contests. We thank you for the warm welcome of our contestants within our walls.
Convenient location for events. Parking is only paid at the Palace of the Republic. All the events of the Federation of Trade Unions of the Republic of Belarus are held here.
A wonderful place to relax! Wonderful organization of the team's work under the guidance of a competent leader!!!! The staff is attentive, the repertoire is very interesting, the hall is very comfortable!!! The creative departments of the Palace deserve special thanks and attention!!!
Clean, the staff is polite, the menu in the cafe is varied, there is a lunch at reasonable prices. The concert hall is beautiful, the stage is not big. I liked it)
The museum is excellent and the girl guides are wonderful 😍 they tell everything with interest and most importantly for a relatively short time, that is, you do not get tired😎
An interesting place. If you are in Minsk for a short time, then you should come here. You can learn a lot about Belarus as a whole, about its main attractions.
A very beautiful building, both inside and outside! I had a chance to speak at the competition here, we took the 2nd place! There are a lot of emotions and memories! I liked everything very much!
